This blend was created as a more wearable companion to Herman Slater’s classic Command, Control, Compel oil, which I continue to offer in its original form out of respect for the formula and its history.
While I have always appreciated the original blend’s effectiveness for candle dressing, ritual work, and commanding operations, I personally found it somewhat sharp, astringent, and citrus-forward for daily wear. Rather than alter the original recipe, I chose to build upon it.
Using higher-grade oils and luxury fragrance materials, I softened some of the more aggressive edges while preserving the spirit and character of the original compound. The result remains remarkably close to the classic formula, but with a subtle refinement: a gentle powdery undertone, a smoother texture, and a more polished finish that wears comfortably on the skin throughout the day.
The fragrance evokes the feeling of a custom-blended boutique cologne oil—something crafted specifically for you by an experienced perfumer. It carries the same commanding presence and authority as the original, but with a softer, more sophisticated presentation.
