I’ve always been fascinated by civet—but never with the way it’s been handled in the past.
Historically, the process of obtaining civet was harsh and unsettling, and that never sat right with me. Respect for all living beings is at the core of my work, so sourcing this ingredient required intention and care.
This civet comes from an ethical perfumer in the UK, working with well-kept, farm-raised civet cats. The paste is collected responsibly, without harm, and with proper care for the animals.
From there, I slowly infused the paste into fractionated coconut oil, allowing it to soften, open, and transform over time.
The result is something quite beautiful—smooth, warm, and almost vanilla-like, with a soft animalic depth that sits close to the skin.
Civet has long been used in traditional love and attraction work, especially when blended with florals. It enhances presence, deepens sensuality, and creates a lingering, intimate aura.
The price of true civet has always been high. My hope is that this version makes its presence more accessible to those who feel called to work with it.
