1/2 oz
I was initiated into a New England offshoot coven of Gardnerian Wicca when I was just exiting my teen years. My favorite part of the circle gathering was the anointing of each other with the sacred ritual oil.
We would stand in a circle while the oil got passed around as we mark the secret sign on the feet, hands and forehead. Words of empowerment and magickal validation were whispered as well.
The oil would be different each time, depending on the intention of the rite. This blend is great for all of your moon magick though, and this was one of the Temples staple oils. The recipe comes from Mr. Slater but my version has changed over the decades.
Patchouly, Calamus, Mugwort, Cinnamon, Camphor, Myrrh, Pink Lotus, Opium, Sage, Vetiver, Wormwood, Wintergreen and Mandrake Root.
