When I began working at one of America’s oldest occult shops in New York City, one bottle always caught my eye: "Queen of Sheba".
I do not know where the original recipe came from. I believe it may have been created by an employee or perhaps the owner herself. My rendition is inspired by my memories of that oil and by the Queen Oil formula found in Herman Slater’s magical formulary.
The bottle featured a handmade label depicting a regal woman riding atop a fantastic beast. Beneath the image, written in elegant script on a piece of cardboard affixed to the bottle, was a phrase I never forgot:
“What Have You Done For Me Lately?”
I can still remember opening the bottle and breathing in its fragrance—bright, regal, spicy, amber, and resinous. It smelled like favors. It smelled like influence. It smelled like someone who never had to ask twice. She was serving.
The original recipe is not mine, and I do not remember it. This formula is my own interpretation of that experience and the spirit behind it.
Queen of Sheba Oil is crafted for those seeking admiration, attention, generosity, gifts, favors, opportunities, and material blessings. It is a formula for becoming the person others are eager to help, support, reward, and indulge.
