La Sirène’s is expanding into a new realm: publication.
La Sirène’s Equinox — Volume 1, Issue 1 —

For years, the house has been rooted in a deep appreciation for occult work, spiritual texts, and literature across traditions — including Wicca, witchcraft, magic, indigenous spirituality, shamanic practice, and New Age philosophy. With that spirit, we are proud to announce an open call for submissions for our inaugural issue!
Theme: “The Deep Current”
This inaugural release will take form as an independently produced zine, newspaper, or booklet, depending on the final layout and printing process. Regardless of format, the intention remains the same: to create a tactile, collectible piece that carries the voices, practices, and visions of the occult and spiritual community.
We are seeking a wide range of contributions, including:
Poems and prayers
Short stories and journal entries
Spiritual logs and first-hand accounts
Rituals and step-by-step instructional work
Recipes (oils, incense, food, etc.)
Essays on psychology, the occult, or mystical traditions
Explorations of meditation, mythology, folklore, and symbolism
Writings on herbs and the plant kingdom
Discussions of extraterrestrials, conspiracy, and hidden knowledge
Art of all types
Any and all submissions aligned with the spirit of the quarterly are welcome
“Deep Current(s)” may evoke the ocean, the unseen, and the forces moving beneath the surface — both literal and symbolic.
While the theme may call to the depths of the occult or the mysteries of the sea, we encourage broad and personal interpretation. As long as your work meaningfully engages with the idea of a deep current, you are welcome to explore it in your own way.
Submission Review
All submissions will be carefully reviewed.
Some pieces may be held for future issues if they align more closely with upcoming themes. If so, contributors will be notified.
Publication & Distribution
This zine will be independently published by the owner of La Sirène’s.
The first issue will be distributed free of charge to select occult and metaphysical shops as an introduction, alongside an invitation to subscribe. Future subscription pricing will remain accessible and will primarily support printing and production costs.
