Yemaya Incense: Ocean's Breath Self Igniting Powder

from $14.98

This is the new rendition of my Yemayá blend.

The first version was inspired by an incense made by a former teacher. It was my first experience with self-igniting incense, and it completely changed how I understood what incense could be. I tried to recreate that oceanic sweetness in my early batches, and those versions sold well.

But my relationship with Yemayá—and with the ocean itself—has changed over time.

As I’ve grown, and especially after receiving Olokun, my understanding of water spirits has deepened. That shift naturally led me to revisit this blend with a different intention.

Less sweet, less traditionally “feminine,” and more aligned with a scent that anyone—especially men—can wear comfortably in its oil form (available soon). It’s still devotional, still oceanic, still traditionally correct but now carries a more balanced, expansive presence.

This incense is a love poem to my mother.

Some of the ingredients were chosen intuitively, and others were confirmed through Obi. I like to ask her directly what she prefers—to offer options, to listen, and to build that relationship over time. This blend is part of that conversation.

I also approached this with a sense of luxury.

Coming from a background in beauty and fragrance, I wanted to create something that honors her not only spiritually, but sensorially. Yemayá deserves the traditional offerings—but she also deserves refinement, depth, and beauty in new forms.

This is my self-igniting incense for her.
No coals needed, just light on fire and enjoy.
