Self Igniting incense, just light her on fire! No need of coals!. have always been a devotee of Hecate. She was the first goddess — the first love I found outside of the religion I was raised in as Catholic and Jehovah’s Witness. Hecate released me. She freed me. She gave me strength. For that, I owe her a great deal.
One of my ultimate goals, and one of my offerings of devotion to her, is to create nine blends for Hecate — similar in spirit to how Santa Muerte is honored through different colors and aspects. Hecate would have something similar through these blends.
Of course, we all know that Hecate carries hundreds of epithets, avatars, paths, and faces. I would love to make a blend for every one of them, but the truth is that much of that information has been lost or is simply no longer accessible. The only way to access some of those aspects would be through direct channeling — and people don’t always trust a channeled experience. I plan on exploring that with the water aspect of Hecate… but that is work for another time. This blend is Black Saffron.
Black Saffron was created to occupy a more traditional devotional space for the Hecate devotee. By traditional, I mean Orphic. In the Orphic Hymn to Hecate, she is described as saffron-cloaked, and that image became the heart of this blend.
This formula carries a small trace of elements from my Nocticula blend, but only in the lightest way — just a touch, just a taste. The true heart of this work is saffron, offered in honor of her sacred herb.
Two forms were created from this devotion: incense and oil.
My hope is that this tool brings every devotee closer to our Queen. I hope it brings her pleasure, and that it responds well for those who walk with Hecate and practice in her name. I'd also love to hear from you and your experience.

Black Saffron — Orphic Ode: Evocation to Hekate was created to occupy a more traditional, historically rooted devotional space within my Hekate collection. When I say traditional here, I mean Orphic.
In the Orphic Hymn to Hekate, she appears saffron-cloaked. That image became the heart of this formula: Hekate wrapped in the extraordinary color, fragrance, and preciousness of saffron.
There is a faint haunting of Nocticula within Black Saffron—the ghost of my earliest Hekate formula lingering quietly inside this one. Just a touch.
The true heart of Black Saffron is saffron itself. Here, saffron is the ode.
The formula becomes an aromatic evocation of the saffron-cloaked Hekate: an offering to her through one of the ancient images by which she is called forth.
This is devotion made fragrant: saffron for the saffron-cloaked and all Her saffron cloaked children.

Most creations don’t begin with a business plan—they begin with a calling.
An idea arrives unexpectedly and refuses to leave until it has taken physical form. I experience the process as receiving rather than inventing. Once that current begins, I follow it wherever it leads, allowing each blend to unfold naturally.
Because of this, every batch is a living work. While a blend may return many times, it is never mechanically reproduced. Ingredients evolve as better materials become available, harvests change, or inspiration shifts. Each version carries the same intention and spiritual purpose, but reflects the moment in which it was created.

This isn’t something I step into for a few hours each day—it’s the world I live in.
My work isn’t separate from the rest of my life. The books I study, the herbs I seek out, the resins I burn, the traditions that have shaped me, and the countless hours spent learning all become part of what I create. This isn’t a hobby I practice on weekends. It is my life’s work.
I choose ingredients for their quality, symbolism, and spiritual correspondence. Some are sourced from the other side of the world. Others take months to find. The time, expense, and effort involved in bringing them together are part of the process. I believe the materials matter.
You may notice there are intentions or traditions that aren’t represented in my collection. That’s intentional. I don’t create products simply because they’re popular or because someone else sells them. If I haven’t worked with something personally, don’t understand its place, or haven’t developed a genuine relationship with it, I’d rather wait than pretend otherwise.
That doesn’t mean I’ll never explore new territory. Some of my favorite creations began as custom requests that challenged me to study, experiment, and learn. But even then, I approach them with respect before I ever offer them as part of my permanent collection.

Natural ingredients change from harvest to harvest, and I continually seek exceptional resins, herbs, and aromatics. Small differences in color, aroma, or texture are part of working with real botanicals rather than synthetic substitutes. The intention of the blend remains the same, even when nature offers variations.
Invoke Hekate for Prosperity: Money-Manifesting Incense Blend
Use the chant from Jade Sol Luna’s book Hekate 1: “HEKATE PARCA PARCA FORTUNA”
In Greek and Roman mythology, the word parca refers to the Fates or Parcae (the Latin term). The Parcae were three goddesses who controlled human destiny: Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos. In Greek mythology, they were known as the Moirai. Their role was to spin, measure, and cut the thread of life, determining the fate of every individual.
When used in the prayer “Hekate parca parca fortuna,” the repetition of parca invokes the power of the Fates. This chant serves as a spell to have Hekate influence destiny, seeking an alignment with the forces that govern fortune and fate. In the context of this incense blend, the prayer seeks Hekate’s guidance in matters of fate and fortune, invoking her power to assist with financial matters, abundance, and prosperity.
The original intention was to create a formula dedicated to Hekate Terrana, but during the blending process the current shifted. Ingredients that had never been planned insisted on entering the vessel. Rather than resisting the change, I allowed the blend to unfold through observation instead of control. Only later, through dreams and continued ritual, did its name arrive: Verdant Venom.
This oil belongs to one of Hekate’s more uncompromising currents. Rather than simply protecting against adversity, it speaks to transformation through adversity. It is a current that strengthens boundaries, cuts away stagnant influences, and encourages the practitioner to meet challenges with clarity, discipline, and resolve. Like venom itself, what appears dangerous may become medicine when approached with wisdom and purpose.
The fragrance reflects that character. Forested greens, mineral notes, resins, and earth combine to create an aroma that is direct, grounding, and unmistakably alive. It is intentionally unsweetened, allowing the sharper botanical notes to express the spirit of the formula without distraction.
The blend also contains symbolic materials associated with serpents, thresholds, and protective boundaries. Each ingredient was chosen to support the current that emerged during its creation rather than to fulfill a predetermined recipe.
Verdant Venom may be used before rituals involving psychic protection, boundary-setting, uncrossing, spiritual resilience, transformation, or initiatory work. It is especially suited for periods of profound personal change, when old patterns must be shed so that new growth can emerge.
Inspired by the symbolism of the serpent, this formula reflects the continual process of renewal through shedding what no longer serves. It is dedicated to the Hekatean mysteries of transformation, liminality, and the strength that arises through conscious change.

Hekate Terrana is crafted through a slower, more intensive process and uses only premium herbal ingredients. Its base is fresh pine needles, combined with top-shelf cinnamon, rare spikenard root, and delicate cyclamen florals—all hand-ground or blended for maximum potency. This formula is made with ingredients that are significantly more expensive and labor-intensive to prepare, resulting in a richer, more of a "power" punch incense.
